Developing a Racially Diverse Medical Team:  An Evidence-Based Webinar 

This state-wide virtual forum will discuss the data supporting a racially diverse cardiovascular work force by providing an evidence-based discussion of three key topics:  

• Why racial diversity matters
• What are the barriers to increasing racial diversity
  
• How can we improve racial diversity in our medicine workforce

Experts in diversity and inclusion will lead the discussions and respond to audience questions. The primary aims of the forum will be to increase knowledge about the benefits of a diverse cardiovascular team and outline what individuals can do to influence change.  Medical students, trainees all the way up to senior attendings in both academic and non-academic centers are invited to join this important discussion.
