Chapter Facts
The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, a not-for-profit corporation, is a group of about 2,200 cardiologists, fellows-in-training, cardiovascular team members, and practice administrators who live and practice throughout the state of Pennsylvania. ACC presently has 50 Chapters plus Puerto Rico.

The Pennsylvania Chapter was developed in the late 1980's when the national ACC recognized a growing need for more local representation to state government, Medicare carriers, third party payers, and the private sector. Through meetings/seminars, newsletters and grassroots efforts, the Pennsylvania Chapter works to ensure a high level of professional visibility.

The Chapter is represented through Medicare's Carrier Advisory Committee (CAC), the Pennsylvania Medical Society's Specialty Leadership Cabinet.
